| The Internet is the personification of the single most powerful and influential invention mankind has ever managed to accidentally create. Therefore it has infinite benevolent and malevolent potential, but we're not too worried about that. Some wise person once said "Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely", and this cliche doesn't really apply here. The Internet chooses to use its near-infinite power to generate an infinite amount of porn and spam mail. It is, perhaps, the single most self-defeating creation in the history of mankind, so in the end everything will probably turn out pretty well. |
